The beauty is that you can location them where you'll be able to not really get electricity. It isn't just the point which you do not need to pay for electricity. This makes them ideal for security purposes.
Just location them on your roof or high walls anywhere near entry points. Connect them up to a motion sensor and you have an instant burglar deterrent. In addition these lights also prove useful if you are moving around your house after dark, no torch needed.
